Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in the South Western Uganda in the districts of mainly Kanungu, Kisoro. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a home to more than a half of the existing mountain gorillas in the world. Gorilla safaris are very popular here but also the rain forest offers great opportunities for birders as well. This tour starts in Entebbe, Uganda and drives through the southbound route with beautiful sceneries that you can enjoy along the drive.
This safari can be done as a flying safari where clients can fly from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro Airstrip where they are picked to the lodge near Bwindi impenetrable National Park.
Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi
Today, you will be picked from your hotel and take a drive south west of the country through several landscapes and amazing sceneries en route to Bwindi South. After this long day of drive, you will arrive in the evening and rest before your dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
The day begins with a transfer to the briefing point where you are provided with the necessary information that will equip you for the rest of the day as you go gorilla tracking. You will go to the jungle at around 8:00am to track gorillas after briefing and allocation of the gorilla family that you will track. The climax of the tour gorilla tracking can take 3 -9 hours on walking in the jungle before one returns to his/her accommodation, the jungle, precipitous landscape and rain may make the tour challenging but with a close encounter face-face with the largest primate of Africa is a remarkable experience you will ever have in life.
Day 3: Bwindi – Kampala
Today after breakfast, you will be picked form your lodge for a gentle drive back to Kampala through Ankole – Masaka dry corridor, with a stopover for lunch and then ensue Entebbe in time for your evening flight.
